Current owner Jimmy Potter, Jr. took over the company from his parents in 1984, and now the third generation is also part of the family business. The Muscle Shoals based company has had some interesting moves in its 70 years in business – they moved a baby grand piano used by Aretha Franklin to record her 1967 hit “I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)” around the Shoals 10 different times. In 2017, thy helped move and pack items out of General Joe Wheeler’s house so it could have renovations done, and then moved the items back a year later.
